Life with Turbo on the Internet (x reader head canons)
A/N: First ever fanfic(if this counts???) I tried to keep it in character lmk how I did.... lots of "probably"s in this one. I'm very unsure.
Genre: (Wreck it ralph) Turbo x reader headcannons, fluff and shenanigans! (Hehe that rhymed!)
Summery: He totally lived guys. He survived and escaped to the Internet guys. He's alive and well and living in a shitty website i promise guys (hcs of what I think living on the internet with post-movie turbo/kc would be like) based on this post I made.
Tumblr media
You guys live in a website Turbo made with his trial-and-error-achieved coding skillsā€¦ so its kinda shitty and cluttered. But its cosy and its yours so its fine. It'll probably improve the more Turbo improves his skills, anyhow.
As you'd assume, you'll be spending alot of time on racing related websites and games. He probably got himself banned from a couple games either by messing with the code to make himself better or for harassing players. He'll to try to bypass the bans and sometimes he succeeds! And gets you both banned again because he said a swear word in a kids game.
Of course he will go with you to places pertaining to your interests, whatever that may be. He might be less enthusiastic about it than his precious car games but he'll still go with you because he likes hanging out with youā¤ he almost gets you banned again though
You need to stop him please
He's definitely an Internet troll. Would purposefully start or stirr drama on forums he doesn't like using throwaway accounts.
Lots of marathoning various games and movies/shows. Someone on tumblr said that he probably watches car crash compilations and like. Yeah. He'd binge watch the shit out of car crash videos and nascar fails. (I hc that he would enjoy Its Always Sunny but for the wrong reason.)
Lay next to him in a bundle of blankets and pillows use him as a pillow he is warm and squishy and soft and touch starved eating snacks and watching "8 most disturbing things caught on dashcam footage" on YouTube. He's probably the type to talk during movies and videos, there are so meny opinions in his little body and he will not shut up. Though is a bit more quiet when sleepy.
yeah ofc you guys would play alot of competitive games together, both racing games and other. He passes out after trying too hard on project diva.
Turbo messed with the computer avatar... things idk what they are called. Trips em up, makes peoples websites crash, etc. Until one of the ad blockers punch him. Then he stopped.
You guys are probably on familiar terms with Knowsmore. Probably one of the first people you and Turbo spoke to when you first entered the Internet, and still speak to since he helps you to get around. Turbo probably would find him annoying, though.
Same with Spamley. Turbo probably hangs around the darknet because of course he would... He probably would try the "Make money playing video games" spiel, success varies. Spamley, despite being a boyfailure, still knows his way around the darknet (barely like he did make that virus guy throw him across the room) Would also find spamley annoying but maybe less so.
Speaking of the darknet, he would bring you along whenever he'd go. he'd hold your hand or arm to make sure he doesn't lose you. Of course he does a myriad of illicit activities. Learning more about programming and hacking, plotting revenge, probably released a couple viruses in websites thatve wronged him, and- šŸ¤¢ andšŸ¤¢ film piracy šŸ¤® /j
Idk if he'd try to take over another game or if he'd try to find fame another way... I'm still mulling over it tbh.
The artist Blackthewolf17 who drew a picture of turbo and y/n sitting on a bench listening to Spotify. Just think about it.
Use one of those relationship compatibility websites. Results depend whats funnier to you ;)
Regardless of wether you fled with him from Litwak's arcade or met him in the online world, if your feeling up to it, spend the rest of eternity bouncing around the interwebs with him until entropy takes you both to oblivion. It might be fun...
Thanks for reading! ^.^ hope you enjoyed!

Heya, noticed you wrote for Ralph here! I'd love to hear Ralph/Reader headcanons where the reader was previously in a relationship with Turbo, if that's something you'd like to write, ofc! :]
Ack! I'm sorry this took so long, and I apologize for this being so short. A lot of stuff happened and I got some pretty bad writers blocks on top of that.
I'll have to write more for Ralph in the future.
Ralph With a Partner Who Was Previously in a Relationship With Turbo
Pairing: Ralph/reader
Rating: Safe For Work
Warnings: None
You hadnā€™t seen it when it happened, but youā€™d seen the aftermath. The scuff marks on the usually pristine floors of the Game Central Station, the frantic voices of the sprites around you, and the rush of citizens fleeing the smoldering ruins of Sugar Rush. The name ā€œTurboā€ floated around, spoken with a hush in their voices, as if saying it too loudly would bring him back from the grave
You did what you could ā€“ maybe out of genuine desire to help, or maybe because helping might make up for the lives your own inaction had cost last time something like this had happened.
Blankets were handed out, comforting empty words were spoken. You were in the middle of making plans with a few others that had stepped up, trying to figure out a solution ā€“ GCS had space for all of them, certainly, but staying there wasnā€™t a good long term solution.
It wasnā€™t necessary, though. A hush had fallen over them suddenly. There were a few whispers here and there; something about a queen. Then a woman in armor ā€“ Sergeant Calhoun, youā€™d since come to know her as ā€“ had emerged from the game to announce that it was safe to return.
The story came out later, though not from the heroes themselves. Wreck-it Ralph had gone Turbo and tried to steal a medal from Heroā€™s Duty. Somehow, that had led to him bringing a rogue Cybug into Sugar Rush. The next part was a bit iffy ā€“ everyone told it a bit differently. One part always remained the same, though. Turbo had somehow survived Roadblasters, had been hiding all this time, and had taken over Sugar Rush before players had ever actually touched it.
You felt numb hearing that. You had loved him once. And then heā€™d died and taken so many lives with him. Youā€™d hated him for what he did.Ā  Youā€™d mourned him when no one else did. He had haunted you for years after that. But heā€™d survived.
You had just wanted to confirm the rumors. You just wanted to see Felix again after nearly twenty-five years of not speaking. You wanted to talk to him because he was the only one who might have understood what it had felt like. But Felix wasnā€™t in his game.
Ralph was, though.
You werenā€™t sure what to expect of him. Heā€™d gone Turbo, but heā€™d also gone through great lengths to save Sugar Rush. Heā€™d almost destroyed two games because of jealousy, but heā€™d also been willing to sacrifice himself for a little girl whoā€™d had everything taken from her. He was a parallel to Turbo, but the two were night and day.
He was sweet. Kind and selfless. Smart, too.
The two of you talked about what had happened, about Sugar Rush, about Turbo. Youā€™d cried, and he wasnā€™t sure how to handle it, but he had tried. And then you talked about other, unrelated things. You spent so long talking and only realized twenty minutes before the arcade was set to open.
You came back the next night. And the next. You hung out at Tappers. You spent time in Sugar Rush with him and Vanellope ā€“ the adorable brat had grown on you, you had to admit. You reconnected with Felix, who had found love with Calhoun amongst all the chaos.
It just sort of happened for you and Ralph though. You couldnā€™t pinpoint when exactly it started, but itā€™d grown into this warm mass of butterflies in your chest. So you kissed him.
He was flustered and red in the face. Completely speechless. Despite his many new friends, affection was still quite new to him; especially that particular type of affection. Hug him, he really needs it.

Being Fix it felix and sergeant Calhoun child
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Best parents ever.
Both overprotective but at the same time trustful
Felix wants to keep you save all the time, meanwhile Calhoun wants you to know how to defend yourself.
They both support you at anymoment, at any goal you have and they'll always tell you to make your dream come true.
While you're a baby (2 years old), Felix would fix every part of the house to make sure it's baby safe (no pointy corner on tables, covering up any outlet on the walls, and having mini fence on some parts of the house)
Calhoun thinks he's being a little dramatic but she loves her hubby so she won't say anything.
Whenever they both need to go do their games, they'll left you on the house in the care of a nicelander(one that doesn't need to go outside while felix is "working").
They both love the drawings that you made for them and they'll always put them on the fridge or anywhere else on the house. (Calhound has some on her locker on hero's duty)
They take turns to put you back to sleep whenever you woke up in the middle of the night crying.
Calhoun's crew comes to visit once a month, they're the best uncle's ever.
Talking about uncles, of course you spend time with your uncle Ralph, he's the most funniest uncle ever.
Playtime with cousin vanellope, she wants to take you on ride on her candy car but of course Ralph says that you're still too young to do that.
Ralph will tell you the story about how your parents met (basically what happened in wreck it Ralph )
If you want to learn how to fix thing and be kind like your dad then he's more than happy to help
But if you want to be like your mom, shooting cybugs and being tuff then she'll help you (being careful of course) whatever you choose they'll support you.
You loved spending time with your cousin vanellope, she'll show you how to create and drive your own car šŸš— !
You basically befriend every game in the arcade thanks to your parents.
Qbert and his friends often play hide and seek with you.
Felix tells you stories while acting them before bed
They'll let you sleep with them if you have nightmares.
One you reach 9 years old, Calhoun is teaching you how to fight and defend yourself.
The nicelanders love, adore and worship you. You're bƔsica a Felix Jr Jr (cause your dad is already felix Jr)
You love pie
Felix has a photo album of the family.
They'll start letting you round around the whole lobby, once you're much older.
But while you're still a baby, Felix will always hold your hand whenever you both get out of his game or Calhoun will carry you.
In the end they're the best parents of all 10/10

šŸŽļøTurbo (Wreck-It Ralph) x (gn) ReaderšŸ
(Beginning Relationship Pt. I Edition!)
Tumblr media
(It took me fucking forever to find a picture from the movie of Turbo [far too cowardly to use fanart]. Which, as we all know, is fitting.)
- To go into deeper detail on this, your time dating Turbo when he was all high and mighty wasā€¦ Eventful to say the very least.
- We donā€™t know much about how Turbo pre-RoadBlasters disaster besides the most obvious points: passionate, sore winner, an even sorer loser, hot-headed, and finally the cherry on this red-white cake; Spite.
- His passion for various things bleeds into the other things in his life, giving a drive that goes beyond the racing track, with the relationship he gains with you being one of those things with a lot of time and patience.
- Victory kisses at the end of the day are a must, even when listening to his frustrated woes from certain players playing game wrong, saying things like ā€œIā€™M FATTEST RAT IN THE RACE! WHY SHOULD I SUFFER WHEN THESE MOTION DEAF TERMITES DECIDE TO PUT A COUPLE OF COINS IN MY GAME???ā€ ā€¦.Yeah <3
- I think in many ways that if you get his trust so much to the point where you guys start dating, he just kinda expects you to listen to his aggravated rants and not do the same for youā€” Which takes a lot of time to rectify, in his mind he doesnā€™t think you ā€œhave it as badā€ as him, as ignorant as that is.
- Yeah he doesnā€™t exactly get a trophy for ā€œbest loverā€, thatā€™s for sure.
- And his stubborn behavior doesnā€™t make that any better, takes him a while to get certain things drilled into his brain when he finally realizes what youā€™re saying isnā€™t ā€œnaggingā€.
- Donā€™t get him wrong, I genuinely think he has the capability to care for someone else over himself, it just takes a whole lot of work for him to consciously realize that.
- PDA isnā€™t really much of a thing for Turbo (except for his ā€œwell earnedā€ victory kisses) , he has a reputation to uphold as one of the most popular game characters in the arcade, though behind closed doors he basically demands the attention you give him at first.
- If you donā€™t like being ordered around and tell him as such, it takes a series of fights to realize being bossy in a romantic relationship (or any in general) isnā€™t exactly the best thing. The obvious in these situations isnā€™t to him, he has a very one track mind (pun intended) and doesnā€™t like change when it effects him.
- Which is very understandable, human even, I think that many of us, if we had a choice, would keep things just the way we like it. Butā€” Life itself is all about change, conflict, differing opinions, etc. And while it is aggravating to no end, itā€™s something a person has to come to terms with.
- Someone like Turbo struggles with that concept, why canā€™t he act the way he finds more natural?? This stone set mindset drives many way, even the people from his gameā€” Even you at times.
- He loves you to death, with the way he sticks close to you after hours, the way he gets a momentary soft look at you when he thinks you arenā€™t looking is perceptible to people who pay attention.
- Much like his latter self, King Candy, he has the tendency to hide things from youā€” Not in a way that maintains a noble or joyous persona, but in a way that tries to hide his softness for you, the desire to clutch you close and never let go.
- The feelings your mere existence gives him scares him, not that he would ever admit that, not even to himself.
- He hates that at times his feelings depend on how you feel, and trying to understand it only stirs the pot, touches of comfort are met with a scoff and some variation of ā€œIā€™m not some fragile lamb you can comfort.ā€ Though at that point his reactions arenā€™t nearly as explosive as they used to be.
- Over time I believe that with your help he is able to maintain more composureā€” Thinking before acting, which is something he is desperate need for.
- Your relationship is very hit and miss at times, but what is love without conflict? BORING, thatā€™s what I say at least.
- Who he is as a whole is both a blessing and a curse, really makes a person think in a ā€œWhat goes on in that assholeā€™s head? And how the fuck did he get with someone?ā€
- The time you have with him before RoadBlasters was installed was special, not perfect in the slightest, but you guy had your moments that one can look at later on with a sense of melancholy.

A Bug In The System
You purchase an old game console from your Uncle Litwack after it goes haywire as your new pet project. Everything seems to be working well, however unbeknownst to you there's a bug in the system.
(Got this idea partially from watching console restoration videos on YouTube.)
Tumblr media
You weren't sure what about this game cabinet was bothering you.Ā
Maybe it was the randomly flashing screen you still couldn't explain? Or the changes in code that you found and was so sure you never programmed in. Or maybe it was the strange mutterings you thought you heard the game characters say even though you were sure they weren't programmed to say. You weren't sure. But whenever you played the game or tried going it, it seemed as if everything was running smoothly.Ā
So perhaps it was nothing but you hearing things. You had been pretty stressed out with college work and staying up most nights as you studied programming and computer science.Ā  So it was probably the lack of sleep combined with weird hallucinations from said lack of sleep. However it was strange it only started after you had started working on this game console.Ā
It was a Saturday morning.
Your day had started off with a sunny morning and a good meal. You had no classes or anything else you had to get done with that day so you made up your mind to visit someone you hadn't seen or heard from in a while. Your Uncle Litwak. His arcade was only a few miles away from the college and where you were currently living, so why not visit your favorite uncle in your entire family?Ā  You arrived at the arcade a bit later than you intended on with the traffic but luckily there was plenty of parking space for you to just pull up and park your hand me down truck.
The sunlight was warm as you happily walked across the concrete and right up to the doors leading into the arcade. It looked exactly the same the last time you visited a few months ago minus a new game console against the fair wall called 'Twilight's Bain' and looked to be a run and gun style game. Maybe you'd try it out while you were here.
Mustn't have been too busy today as there was only around five or six kids around the place playing games and a few adults you assumed were the parents standing around watching or playing on their phones.Ā
"Uncle Litwak?," you called out walking past the noises of dancing beats, chase scene music, and the groans of zombies dying inside the digital screens of the game consoles. F/c orbs blinking looking around for any signs of the familiar older man. "Uncle Litwak!"
Maybe he was in the back office? You made your way past the other consoles including one ofĀ  the newer ones that was called Heroes Duty. That's where most of the shooting noises were coming from as two boys were both blasting away at the screen shooting fake robot bugs. Passing a few other games and turning a corner, you finally saw the person you were looking for.Ā
Facing away from you with a phone to his ear was your uncle. He took looked no different than the day you last saw him. Wearing that famous black and white striped shirt, and the pack around his waist wear he was always sure to keep any spare quarters for quick refunds or to exchange for dollar bills handed to him in exchange for the kids to fuel the games. He was slightly leaned over, one hand on his hip as a sigh escaped his lips.
"So you can't make it today?," he asked and the faint sounds of someone's voice coming from the phone answered back although it was too muffled and low volume to tell what the person on the other side was saying. "Oh..I see. Well when are you getting it fixed?" Another pause before your Uncle Litwak hummed. "Alrighty then. Have your boys call me back as soon as you get a free date will ya? Good. Thanks, Harvey. Drop by with the grandkids sometime. It's always fun to see them running around here. Hehe. I'll talk to you later. Alright. Take care."
He must've been too into the call to hear your approaching footsteps or the distant sounds of the arcade muffled your approach so he had no idea you were standing right behind him as he hung up. That is until you cleared your throat causing him to turn to you. He blinked a few times catching him off guard before a wife smile graced his face.
"Hey, hey!," he immediately greeted opening up his arms and turning to fully face you. "Well if it isn't my favorite college gal!"
"Hey, Uncle Litwak!," you greeted going to return the open hug he gave you. It lasted a few minutes with him patting you on the back before you both pulled away. "How are you? I haven't seen you since Mom's birthday party."
He made a 'psh' sound waving a hand off. "Well you know how it is. Some days are a lot slower than others, but it's been okay. Why are you here, Sweetie?" He gestured as he went to start walking. "Shouldn't you be up there studying for...What is it again? Electronics?"
You chuckled going to start walking next to him. "Programming and computer science. And no. I didn't have anything to do today so I figured it'd be nice to visit you. Maybe we can get lunch or something?"Ā
He seemed to brighten up at the good news. "Honey, that's the best news I had all day."
All day? Your brow rose in curiosity. "Did something happen?'
Again he sighed and a hand reached up to scratch his head. "Well I've been having a bit of a problem with my usual pick up guy."
"What happened?"
"Well my usual salvage guy was supposed to be here this morning to pick up Sugar Rush, but their truck broke down and I'm going to have to wait until they get it fixed," he explained as you both passed the whack-a-mole game, "I guess I can just ask someone to look online for a different local salvage company or I can wheel it out near the dumpsters."
"Sugar Rush?" Your brows furrowed in thought as the name definitely rang a bell. Wasn't that game the racing game that was candy land themed? You vaguely remembered playing it two or three times over the years, but you weren't too familiar with it. "Ya mean that racing game that looks like Willy Wonka made it?"
He huffed a chuckle. "That's one way to put it I guess." But he nodded. "Yeah. Two days ago the darned thing broke and unfortunately it'd cost me more to fix it than to pay someone else to haul it outta here."
"Uh huh..." You hummed it thought. "How'd it break?"
"Apparently the game went coco like your great Nana and someone broke the steering wheel thingamajig on it. I don't know what to do with it now except to wheel it over to the corner until they're able to pick it up I suppose."
"Hey, Uncle Litwak. What if I take it?"
That got him to stop walking and turn to you in question. "You want to what now, Sweetie?"
You smiled at him. "I can take it if you don't want it anymore." You offered to his surprise. "I'm working really hard to study programming so I can use it as a practice project! Maybe I can even get it fixed for you!"
He hummed rubbing at his head again. "Well...I guess it would save me the trouble of getting it outta here and it'd just be taking up space, but are you sure you'd want to do that?"
You nodded. "I'd love to take it!"
...He smiled. "Well alright. If you want it that bad it's yours."
You beamed. "Thanks, Uncle Litwak! Lemme buy you some lunch to make up for it! My treat!"
"Sweetie, that's an offer I can't refuse."
With some help you managed to get the old game loaded up and strapped safely into your truck and hauled it all the way home after your visit was over. Your neighbors were nice enough to help you unload it and carry it back to your apartment where you were fully able to get a good look at it.Ā
It wasn't in too bad shape. Of course there was the destroyed steering wheel and when you plugged it in, the screen was a bit glitchy but otherwise everything seemed to be ok. The easiest part to fix was the steering wheel. You ended up finding a new steering wheel for two hundred dollars on ebay and ended up purchasing it. Was it expensive? Yes. Did you want to fix the console? Also yes. It took a whole week of waiting before you got a friend of yours, who fixed computers and other devices as a side gig, to reattach the new steering wheel and clean up a little bit of the outside.
If you didn't know it was old, you'd say it was brand new. However the hardest part of the fix up was the internal touch ups as you called it. Taking a careful sweep through inside, showed no damage to any of the wires or motherboard. That was good. It was a little dusty but nothing a soft duster cloth couldn't fix. All that was left was checking on the code.
So when you hooked it up to your laptop, you were surprised to see so much missing. Specifically a lot of the codes for NPCs and game racers.
Now that was certainly strange. Why wasn't there any coding for one of the most important aspects of the game? Sure it was just a simple racing arcade game but it didn't make sense to not include that. No wonder the game wasn't working. Your poor uncle must've been scammed and sold a cheap knockoff or something.Ā
Well other than the missing characters, there didn't seem to be anything else wrong with the coding at all. This was a perfect opportunity to practice coding in some characters of your own! But first thing's first. You'd run a virus scan on it just to be sure everything was working ok.Ā
THAT was the first time something strange happened.
It was a routine virus scan being performed on the console. You've done it before. So when suddenly the consoles screen glitched out and your laptop quickly shut down to the blue screen of death in the middle of said scan, you were shocked.Ā
That hadn't happened before.
A few taps of your keyboard did nothing. In order to get it to stop you had to unplug your laptop from the console which... instantly fixed it and got rid of the blue screen which surprised you. There must've been something wrong with the system. So you unplugged it, replugged it, and got the game to reset.Ā
Everything seemed to work ok after that.Ā
You tried the virus scan again and this time it worked. Detecting nothing. Weird but you guessed that the game console being older than your laptop would have a bit of trouble adjusting to the laptop at first.
That wasn't the only strange thing however. Programming in characters in your free time between classes and other obligations was pretty simple and fun. Really the hardest parts was looking online for the normal character models from the original game and getting their exact details and voice lines in. Thank gosh for internet connections.Ā
The strange thing was when you were trying to code in that princess character. Vanellope Von something or other. You were trying to get it as close to the original game as possible. You got maybe most of the coding for her model done when all of a sudden your laptop blue screened again.
"What the-!?" You tapped the spacebar on your laptop to no avail. A frustrated growl escaped your throat as you glared at the stupid blue screen. "You've gotta be kidding me!" You tried and tried to get it to stop. It only stopped when you disconnected from the system again only to find all your previous progress GONE. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! IT TOOK ME DAYS TO DO THAT!!"
Stupid laptop.Ā
You had to start all over again. This time you decided to make the code and only add it to the game once it was all finished. The result of it was you having a full working model for the Princess in game sitting on the popcorn box throne and waving at the players as they raced when she herself wasn't chosen for the roster. FINALLY.Ā
You were so happy to finally get it in the game that you probably didn't notice the gleaming glitching eyes within the crowd of cheering nut npcs when you did a test through drive of the game to see how you did so far. Not bad. It was a bit buggy still with a few kinks to work out, but nothing you couldn't fix eventually. You especially made a mental note to fix the spontaneous glitch that made you randomly get stuck in the track if you crashed.
The next time you got back around to the game wasn't until a few months later. Studying, exams, family, and your irl job had eaten everything else for a long while. So imagine your surprise when you say down to do a quick playthrough of the game, just as a refresher on what you needed to work on, and you found no traces of the princess in her popcorn throne.
The roster was full of eight of the racers you remembered adding however the one right in the middle was one you'd never seen before..
"That's weird," you mumbled to yourself staring right at the middle character on the roster. "I don't remember adding you."
Right smack dab in the middle of the roster was an odd character. A man nearly complete bald. He looked goofy all dressed up in puffy pants and Tinkerbell like shoes and a purple overcoat, striking an equally as goofy pose standing on one leg and both arms thrown up into the air. A crown sat on top his head as much like the other characters stared at you blankly.Ā
You definitely didn't add this guy. Who was he? Where did he come from? Had you added him but forgotten?...No. You kept track of what you added. Confusion and curiosity took a hold of you and so you use the steering wheel and peddle to choose said mysterious character. He let out a happy laugh as he was picked out and the game moved along to the racing bits.Ā
However you did notice the absence of one said princess whom was supposed to be sitting in the popcorn throne or in another one of the other racecars. Instead of her in the racecars designed for her, it was the king looking character you'd chosen for the race.Ā
"What in the world is going on?", you questioned as you continued the game.Ā
And was shocked to find it running so ..so smoothly. The previous bugs and glitches were all but gone.Ā  Even when you accidentally slammed into an up coming jawbreaker you didn't get stuck in the track. If anything a few annoyed sounding shouts instead came out of the character. You drove him around and listened to his voice lines of 'Have some candy!' and 'To the rightful ruler goes the spoils!' Only getting second place.
The cutscene that played out was your character standing in the middle of a confetti spotlight as a silver trophy floated down into his awaiting arms. He looked disappointed by his prize humming before saying the voice line-
"Not what I deserve...but it'll do for now."
"Yeah. I definitely didn't program you." You turned around in your seat towards the laptop sat up on the desk and didn't notice the way the character LOOKED DIRECTLY AT YOUR FORM as you stood up. "I'd better check on this."
The panicked look upon the character's face as he quickly fled the scene dropping the silver trophy in the process as you turned on your laptop and began going through the files. Only to be shocked to not see any of the codes for the princess you spent hours on. ...It was as if you never put code in to begin with. Furious you began going through the strands and strands of code looking for a trace of the strand you put in. You didn't find any. However you did find one file you didn't recognize.
"...Turbo?"
Turbo? You didn't remember labeling any files under that name. And where did all of the process code go?! You implemented it in perfectly and it was working out just a few months ago. You didn't have a chance to explore the code any further before once again your laptop blue screened as you tried to access it. For a moment there was nothing but you just staring at the screen before you ended up slamming your face into the desk and let out a muffled cry of frustration.
"I don't get what's going on!," you vented to a friend a few days later as you both were having lunch. He listened patiently as you rambled on pointing a poor fry at everything. "I made sure the code was perfect and it was working fine when I was finally able to put it in! I don't get what's wrong with the stupid thing!"
Your friend hummed as he chewed on cheap college Cafeteria pizza. "Maybe the code wasn't compatible? I mean the console's like what? Over fifteen years old now? It probably got deleted from it or something because it wasn't compatible with the older mainframe."
"Then why is everything else working? I don't get it! And my stupid laptop keeps breaking down in the middle of it all.'' You threw the fry in your mouth with a grumble as your friend hummed.
"Maybe it's not the console but your laptop? Did you get it checked out for viruses and stuff?", he tried suggesting to which you nodded yes.
"Yeah. The repair guy said there's nothing wrong with it which makes it weirder."
"Then maybe there's something wrong with the connection between the devices. How about I come over and see if there's anything wrong?"
"That might actually be helpful. Thanks."
Three days later your friend stopped by with his own laptop which you both connected to the console as two eyes watched you from the frozen pose of the game roster. Your friend was easily able to get access to the code and go through it. First running a virus scan which turned up nothing thank goodness. At least you knew there was no viruses attacking your poor laptop. He hummed along with the distant sounds of the cheery music coming from the console as he went through the code for twenty minutes as you watched from over his shoulder before turning to you.
"There's nothing wrong with anything. No bugs or anything else I can see. Your coding skills seem to be going through."
"There was definitely some bugs I needed to sort out."
He shrugged. "Maybe the console just needed some time to process all the new code fully."
Hm. Maybe. But that still didn't explain the disappearance of one character and the appearance of another one you never saw. "Is there anything lying doormat anywhere? Maybe some unfinished code?"
"I did find some unfinished code for what looks like a disregarded bonus level, but nothing like you were talking about. Is there anything specific to look for?"
You hummed. "....Can you find a strand called 'Turbo'?"
"I can try." Cartoon eyes from the roster widened in worry losing his smile as your friend went through the code again for the characters since that's where you first saw this 'Turbo' profile. "Taffyta Muttonfudge. Minty Saki. King Candy-....I don't see any 'Turbo' here, Bud."
Huh. That's really weird. You KNOW you definitely saw that. But- You pointed out the King Candy profile. "I know I didn't add this guy. Where the heck did it come from?"
Again your friend was unhelpful as he shrugged. "It's not coming up as a foreign program so it must've been in the console when you got it. It's probably an unlockable character that you unknowingly brought out during the input of new codes and fixing the bugs. Did you try resetting the console?"
"Yeah. Three times since my Uncle gave it to me."
"Try doing that one more time and see if that fixes it. If not..then I guess the Princess Vanellope code just isn't compatible with the software somehow."
You did as he advised. As soon as he left resetting the game and still feeling disappointed by your princess being gone. You also tried implementing her code only one more time. You completely gave up on that when your laptop blue screened...Again. So you settled for just having a picture of the princess racing in her pink goggles on the side of the game console from there on out. There was only so much your poor laptop could take before it could eventually break from this.
You were frustrated with the stubborn process but you were satisfied with the end result of all your hard work. Sitting down to play the game became a past time of yours outside of the stress from college and irl life. Your friend must've been right about the old motherboard taking it's sweet time to process the code inputted into it. Because now everything was running smoothly and there didn't seem to be anything majorly needing to be fixed. Although you did tweak a few things.
You gave the clouds a more cotton candy appearance during race scenes, and added a glitter sparkle affect to the dust clouds the cars would kick up as they drove along. However you really wanted to add more to that unfinished bonus level code eventually. Maybe adding it as a bonus points thing or something. You hadn't decided yet.Ā
But you were having fun with the game more than you expected. In fact you were debating on whether or not to give it back to your uncle or just keeping it for yourself as a testament to what you could do! However there was a few things that were weird that you didn't start noticing until after you started enjoying it more.
Despite the reservations you first had with this king character, you eventually got to like him the more you played. He was pretty goofy and an oddball in a good way. And you found yourself giggling at his antics on more than one occasion with his silly poses or funny voice lines. Not the princess you wanted but a king you don't mind having.
Ā It was nice to unwind and play a silly game and so you invited a friend to play with you. The two of you picked your characters. Him that kid with the pumpkin hat on his head and you decided to choose the goofy looking King Candy. The game was going well and you were surprised to see you win considering your friend was the more experienced gamer but the cute little bouncy jig and laugh tour character did receiving the gold trophy was enough to make you smile.
"Wow. You sure did a good job on the game," he complimented as you both stood up. "I guess everything turned out good in the end anyways."
You nodded. "Yeah. I still wanna finish the unused bonus level though. You wanna see what I got so far?"
He agreed and together you hooked up your computer (praying that it didn't mysteriously blue screen again) and opened it up to show your friend what you had done so far.Ā
"Wow. You almost got it finished. Have you decided what you're gonna do yet?"
"It's either gonna be a bonus level or I'm gonna add it to the main track as an alternative route to the finish line. I haven't decided yet. Maybe I'll add it to where you can earn a bonus trophy from the king or something."
That's when he laughed. "First you didn't like him, but now you do? Wow, Y/n. I didn't know you were into Dilfs.~" He teased you to which you scowled at him and pushed his shoulder as he laughed.
"I am not! Shut up!"
"Or is he more of a foxy grandp-"
"Finish that sentence and you're dead, Bradley!"
"C'mon. It's not my fault you're attracted to older- HEY!!"
He laughed and cackled as you kept slapping at him red faced, causing him to get up and flee to the kitchen with you right behind him. Unbeknownst to all of you a curious ear and pair of eyes had been observing this entire time and was curious as to what this 'dilf' was. Neither of you noticed in your fight your laptop exiting out to Google and 'dilf meaning' being typed into the search bar.Ā
You only were annoyed with your friend when you came back to a shut off computer, assuming it had turned itself off after not being used for a while, and to the same cutscene of the King still holding the gold trophy... However he looked a little different. He seemed to be staring off at nothing at sudden realization dawned on him, red faced, and half his face hiding halfway behind said trophy.Ā
"Want to go another round?," you offered changing the subject.Ā
Bradley laughed. "Sure. Gonna use King Dilf again? Or are you gonna be choosing another?"
You glared at him. "I'm not so you can quick making fun of me now!'
Bradley laughed at you but held up his hands. "I was just joking. But whatever her majesty desires."
"Oh, I'm gonna beat you to the ground!"
Queen huh?
You did end up beating Bradley, but only because his character was knocked off the track by the King Candy character in the background. During the gumball falls part, all he heard was the announcer saying 'POWER UP' and 'SWEET SEEKERS' before you both heard the famous voice line.
"Have thom candy!"
Next thing Bradley knew, his Rancis character was shot by a flaming yellow mini jawbreaker at great speeds and literally knocked off the tracks and out of bounds. Making him groan at the high pitched laugh King Candy gave as he drove past and you made your way to the cherry bomb cake. In the end you still lost but you felt satisfied with knowing that you were avenged in the end even though the NPC had no clue what transpired. After all he was just a video game character.Ā
"I'll see you later, Brad. Hope the jester knows not to make fun of the king now."
"Yeah, yeah." He grumbled exhausted at his own joke being thrown back to him. "I'll see you Monday. Make sure you get some sleep before classes tonight will ya?"
"I will. Don't worry about it."
Waving goodbye to him, you closed the door before turning around and stretching out with a yawn. Yeah. It was probably time you got some sleep. Walking past the game console you smiled at it and patted it's side.
"Y'know..I think I'll keep you after all. You're pretty fun to play with."
You turned to start walking towards your bedroom-
"TURBOTASTIC!!"
You jumped at the sudden voice as before turning back to the game's screen. Nothing but the characters posing with frozen fake smiles stared back at you as you blinked... before turning around and rubbing your face.
"I need to get more sleep."

What about hcs for king candy reuniting with the reader who used to be his partner during the turbo time days? :3c
This one nearly made me cry writing it.
Unfortunately, King Candy isn't as present as I would have liked to be since this focuses so much on the before and in between them reuniting.
King Candy Reuniting With His Old Partner
Pairing: King Candy x reader, previous Turbo x reader
Rating: safe for work
Warnings: none
Ā You and Turbo had been inseparable. You had your own jobs in your own games, of course, but every single spare moment you had was spent together.
You had noticed something off about him, of course - how could you not? You knew better than anyone, save for himself. But you brushed it aside. Jealousy was nothing new. Everyone knew how competitive he could get. He was passionate, impulsive. There was a fire in him that burned so brilliantly, but it burned out fast. This rivalry would pass, you had been so certain of that.
But it didnā€™t. He burned so hot he became the brightest thing in the entire arcade. All eyes were on him, just like he wanted. And then he died, taking two games down with him.
A service was held to mourn the lives lost. Games had been unplugged in the past, lives had been lost and mourned, but it was different this time. Turbo had introduced the arcade to a new definition of devastation.
You were the only one that mourned him.
It hurt so bad. Like the fire had spread to you and was eating you alive.
And to make matters worse, everyone treated you with suspicion after that. As if youā€™d suddenly ā€œgo Turboā€ too.
It eventually got better. People treated you better, if only slightly. Your wounds never healed ā€“ how could they, when the man you loved haunted the arcade? ā€“Ā  but they stopped bleeding. Turbo was dead and gone, little more than a cautionary ghost story at this point.
You avoided Sugar Rush at first. Racing games reminded you too much of him. But eventually you caved. You missed racing. You werenā€™t built to be a racer, but even still you missed it.
You didnā€™t want to race. It was something you always did with Turbo. As much as you missed being behind the wheel, you didnā€™t want to open up old wounds. You just wanted to watch.Ā
But that voice.
You waited until after the race to approach. But anticipation buzzed beneath your skin. Little scenarios youā€™d come up with in your head years ago, just after his death, resurfaced. What if he had survived? What if heā€™d made it out and was just hiding? What if, what if, what if.
He sounded just like Turbo, but he didnā€™t look anything like him. The moment he saw you, though, you knew. It was him. It was your Turbo.
Before you could even speak, he was leading you away. Brushing off the other racers when they asked questions. He waited until you were both safely tucked away in the throne room of his castle, with no prying eyes to watch.
And he said your name.
Old wounds were ripped open. You were broken and bleeding again but you were relieved. He had made it out alive. All you could do was cry and cling to him. You held him so tightly; you were terrified heā€™d disappear again.
Why did you do it? Why did you stay hiding for so long? Why did you never come back to me? You wanted to ask him so many questions but you couldnā€™t muster the strength to speak.
He just held you back, whispering comforting words that never quite managed to reach your ears.
When everything had calmed down, he explained. No one would take too kindly if he had returned to the Arcade. And he couldnā€™t leave Sugar Rush now, as he wasnā€™t too sure if his disguise would persist outside of his game. And even if he did come to find you, he was certain youā€™d hate him.
But you wouldnā€™t hate him. You couldnā€™t. The things that he did were awful, but you were blinded by love, and your relief at having him back.
Knowing that he was Turbo was a liability. You couldnā€™t show familiarity. The other racers of Sugar Rush had never seen you before, and King Candy never left his game. It would be suspicious if you knew him.
So youā€™d start all over again.
It was almost fun, feigning unfamiliarity with him. Perhaps you moved a bit too fast with your charade. With how quickly you two jumped from friendship to flirting and little secret looks. But would it really be a surprise if the man you fell in love with after so long alone was a racer, just like the man you lost so long ago?

šŸ¬King Candy (Wreck-It Ralph) x (gn) ReaderšŸ‘‘
(Beginning Relationship Pt. I Edition!)
Tumblr media
(I thought this song would be fitting considering King Candyā€™s voice is based on the vocal performance Ed Wynn did for the Mad Hatterā€¦ That and itsā€¦ NostalgicšŸ”‘ [I saw the animation meme culture rise and fall.] lol)
- So, as we all know, the more unpleasant parts of his personality (which could tie him to Turbo) are suppressed, and hidden, though they can still peak out when heā€™s feeling particularly malicious.
- Heā€™s a slime, a real manipulative rat whoā€™s so sure he can keep everyone in the dark, who takes it slow with you at first to try to maintain his hard work.
- Thereā€™s a clear wall between what he displays in front of others and how he is, just the way he likes it, but honestlyā€” If you mean so much to him, you get a weird mix of the two (well, more than usual), a kind of sweet goofiness thatā€™s followed up with a snide remark about being the most skilled in some specific topic.
- Again heā€™s not the best lover, though from his previous indiscretions he has learned to be more open to others feelingsā€” But only for your sake, mostly cause he canā€™t stand anyone else besides youā€¦. And Sour Bill sometimes, but heā€™s mostly the personification of a minimum wage worker.
- Spending time together after hours is a must, though heā€™s more understanding now than he was before, not demanding every moment of your time but relishing whenever you do.
- I think all that time alone before Sugar Rush got plugged in made him lonely, and less stubborn to admit that he wants that comfort from someone else.
- I donā€™t think itā€™s much of a far reach when I say maintaining the King Candy persona is something he is very fluid in, but itā€™s exhausting at times.
- When he gets that seldom time alone without any of his kingly duties he finds himself yearning for your comforting touch, that stubbornness making way as he makes Sour Bill retrieve you.
- I can see moments between the two of you to be on the tamer side, not as many arguments like Pre-RoadBlasters, little to none really, but there are these tense moments where you ask him something a little too close to home and he becomes stiff in your arms if only for a brief moment.
- As much as he wants to be, not only for himself but maybe even youā€” He isnā€™t perfect, he isnā€™t the person he tries so hard to be, that gleeful and peppy voice going flat the second he isnā€™t feeling it anymore.
- It becomes apparent the more you know him heā€™s far more serious than he lets on, puffing his chest up slightly when things donā€™t go his way and he has to play dirty, which heā€™s certainly no stranger to...
Tumblr media
- In comparison to himself when the arcade first ever opened, heā€™s certainly grown from that childish hatred, for better and for worse.
- Heā€™s more affectionate for one, providing you with comfort fitting to how you are feeling at that moment, little compliments, and gestures of affection to quell your anger and anxiety in a matter of seconds.
- Quick to learn every little thing about you to make sure heā€™s able to relate to you, though his intentions with this information go back and forth.
- He wants everything on a silver platter, not only for himself but also for you, making the other subjects of Sugar Rush bend over backward for you, even when you object to all the attention.
- I think one of the ways he dotes on you in a way is date planning, various areas in Sugar Rush vary which can be very nice date spotsā€¦ He seems like the picnic blanket and tea liker as King Candy, as stereotypical as that is lol.
- Though if that isnā€™t your style, he can always do dates at the castle, like bakingā€” chatting the night away, itā€™s the simple things in life <3
- Even with his character growth he is far from a good person, which we all know and love for the most part. Heā€™s fully aware that the things he does to bar you, Venallope, the Sugar Rush inhabitants, and even the arcade entirely is cruel, spiteful even. But what could he have done? Let himself fade into obscurity and be characterized after one of his biggest mistakes?
- No, no, not when he still has so much to provideā€” Heā€™s a person, just like everyone else, better yet he was programmed to be better. Why should he stand aside and let the world spin without him? Why should he look at you from afar when he has every right to want you?
- Thatā€™s part of the reason why heā€™s so adamant about keeping his spot as the monarch of Sugar Rush, heā€™s the rightful ruler after all.
